MANAGEMENT CONTRACTING

Management Contracting procurement method is characterized by the Clients appointment of a Management Contractor early in the process to advise on the design, schedule and buildability. The Management Contractor schedule, packages and obtains tenders for the works which are then each let on a competitive basis on lump sum, fixed price contracts with the management Contractor.

This method of construction promotes and requires mutual trust between the Clients and Contractors. Conflict situations are significantly reduced, and lines of communication are improved with this approach.
